Oh my goodness - this book was absolutely amazing! I absolutely adored The Beast Charmer series when I read it last year and was excited and scared to continue on with the first book in the Guild of Night series. There are so many things to love about this book - it’s so creative and filled with so much detail you can honestly imagine every intense action sequence, each tender moment, and all the phenomenal creatures.
Gaige and Kost’s story was perfection - I put off starting this for way too long because I was worried it would hurt in the beginning. And I was right - it did hurt, but it was SO GOOD. I was giddy when they were finally able to work through all they’d gone through and finally realize what they meant to each other. Their chemistry, vulnerability with each other, and love was off the charts.
I can’t wait for more from this amazing series. If you want a top-tier found family, a stunning original world, action, intrigue and romance go read the Beast Charmer series now and then keep going with Shadows of the Lost. You won’t be disappointed.
