It's kind of a fun read, although I think that I'm missing a bit by being unfamiliar with the video games. People who are fans of the video game, or are completionist toward Brandon Sanderson's books, will likely enjoy the books, although I would recommend to the majority of readers to just read Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson instead--I think he took some of the ideas of these stories and was able to polish them and present them better in Warbreaker.
