Honestly, this was just much heavier sci-fi than I was ready for. There were also too many characters introduced too quickly, and all of them were treated as very important. I couldn't keep up with the background world building in the flashbacks, the sci-fi technobabble, and all of the people. I still think it was well written and would recommend it for bigger sci-fi fans.
