As a big fan of Greek mythology, this re-telling of Achilles, Patrocles, and the Trojan War is a breathtakingly heartbreaking read. Madeline Miller's writing style is approachable but resonant—smoothly able to draw anyone into the world and characters that she has created. The characters and their relationships are thoughtfully developed, and I spent much of the book eagerly listening to every word while also very much dreading the ending that I knew would come. Absolutely loved this book!
