Four Aunties and a Wedding by Jesse Q. Sutanto

4.0

3,5* upped to 4
I loved Dial A For Aunties and had fun in reading this one even if it was a bit over the top at times.
There're some very funny moments, I laughed out loud but the story was always on the border to become a slapstick comedy (and I'm not sure it didn't become one).
There's some interesting remarks and scene about the cultural clash and there're some very funny scene. But sometimes the humour seems a bit forced and the aunties becomes sort of caricature.
The mafia part is not gripping and it was a bit stereotypical.
It's funny but there wasn't a lot of unexpressed potential.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
