I love Regis. I love Cahir. I love Ciri. I love Zoltan and Dandelion and Milva and of course Geralt. Mistle raped Ciri in the last book so I still don't know what Sapkowski's playing at making that a cute romance in this book, but I don't love it. Here's hoping the Netflix show gives Ciri the kind of badass girlfriend she deserves.
Moderate: Miscarriage
Minor: Addiction
The miscarriage is a moderately explicit scene towards the end of the book, but we are with the miscarrying woman for only a moment before Geralt goes off to fight some baddies to keep her safe while the doctor helps her off-page.
The addiction is merely backstory for a secondary character in this book. The character is a recovered addict and very stable.
