Like Mother, Like Daughter by Kimberly McCreight
4.0
What a fabulous thriller! You will be hooked from the beginning when Cleo reluctantly comes home from college to have dinner with her mother, whom she has been estranged from, to find dinner burning on the stove, broken glass, and her mother’s shoe with blood on it but no Kat. Kat has been hiding a lot of things from Cleo and her husband but one thing you know from the beginning, even if you don’t really like her, is that Kat loves Cleo and would literally do anything to protect her. As the story progresses from Kat’s story of before and Cleo’s story of after, you will finally understand what makes them so much alike.
