Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
5.0
Oh my god my heart is so full. I kind of regret not reading the book before watching the movie, but I was just too tempted.
It kind of spoiled the whole Blue mystery for me, but it's good to see that the whole "Simon suspecting everyone of being Blue" is still a thing. I also like how the friend drama aspect is depicted here. Much lower key and less jarring than in the film.
Then again, I like the film's more linear structure, as we get to see more of Simon as a character before we're thrust into the whole email blackmail debacle.
Though whoever decided not to include all the Simon and Blue scenes post-reveal scenes needs to rethink their choices.
