Witch Please by Ann Aguirre
2.0
After reading The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna, I wanted more modern witchy books, and this came up in my search. I like the Fix-It Witches premise, but the writing and storyline itself were just not working for me. It felt way too contrived and I was constantly screaming at the main characters because so many issues would be solved if they communicated, which of course is a common trope in rom coms, but still. That said, I’m reading the other two books in the series simply because I do like the community Aguirre created, so it’s not like it was the worst book I’ve ever read.
