So, to be clear, I really tried with this one. 

As in, I’ve been trying to get through this since June, which makes this the longest running novel on my currently reading list at just over 4 months. 

I even lugged this across the province over an almost 16 hour road trip to no avail. 

I just have to face reality that this is not happening. 

It’s no shade to the story or the writing or the plot, but it’s just way too slow-paced for what I need right now, and I can’t see that changing any time soon. 

So here’s to me trying to let go of a $40 purchase without any salt running through my veins.
