The Invitation by Adriana Locke

5.0

Enemies to lovers at its finest. Georgia Hayes and Ripley Brewer have a long-standing history of being enemies that started in high school. She had everything going for her back then while Ripley lost his chance at a scholarship. Now the tables have turned. Ripley is very successful while Georgia is unemployed. They both get cast in the pilot "The Invitation" as favors to their respective friends who are involved in the show. Now they have to pretend not to have a history together. As they share the deepest, most vulnerable parts of themselves with each other, the gloves start to come off. Their chemistry and the banter that abounds in this book made it an extremely enjoyable read. Not to mention there were times I was very near tears because how vulnerable they were with each other.

Lexi Maynard and Jason Clarke were amazing narrators for this story! This is the first book I've listened to with Lexi as narrator! I loved how she voiced Georgia and really brought out her personality. Jason is an old fave and he did a stellar job with Ripley.

I've been loving my time with the Brewers. I can't wait to see what comes next!

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.
