Lily moved into her grandmother’s house which was left to her in a will. Lily had her stepdaughter and her son with her since she had just divorced her terrible ex husband. Lily was working as a veterinarian assistant since she had dropped out of veterinarian school because of her ex husband. Unfortunately her aunt informed her that in order to own the house completely she needed to be married for a year. So while talking to her aunt she mentions that she is currently involved with Eliot her boss’s brother in law. Eliot hears this conversation and backups the claim. So Lily and Eliot get married and have to pretend for a year so that Lily can own her grandmother’s home. This story is rich in family. It contains all the Knights from previous book if you have read the previous four books about the Knight brothers and sister. And of course Lily is from a big family too starting a new series with the Dukes who all need to marry in order to inherit their property. I always love the books written by Marie Johnston it’s always rich in family and love and romance. Loved this story and the characters. It was a delightful lighthearted book.
