The weakest point of Henry VI, Part 1 was that the ending seemed to disregard what came before and start a new story. Part 2 picks up shortly after Part 1, and makes sense out of Part 1's ending, which is a perfect setup. The book is enjoyable, moves along, shows the issues of making too extensive a peace with a longtime enemy, and so on. Again, the greatest defect here is the ending, which does not seem like an ending. On to Part 3...
