Eve Babitz is so important to me. She is the cool aunt/ big sister of my dreams. She passed this last year, but I would give anything and everything to have her take me under her wing and show me everything and her books are just a little bit of that. I adore her. Even though ive moved away from LA and pretty much hate it, I love it because she loved it. Her essay about Rain is so lovely. Her essay Sirocco ripped my heart out.
