The Port Chicago 50: Disaster, Mutiny, and the Fight for Civil Rights by Steve Sheinkin

5.0

Highly suggest this book! It’s pretty short and gives an in depth history of the Port Chicago 50 while also sharing the history of segregation in our military branches. It broadly covered Thurgood Marshall’s early career, and even has some Eleanor Roosevelt and Jackie Robinson stories sprinkled in.
