Everytime I read an Emily henry book I feel like I take small pieces of the characters I relate to and hold on to that. I take their happiness and make it my own. Reading this book felt like diving into a lake, only to then realise that it's pitch black and you can't break to the surface. I swam with these characters and their struggles. That's how immersed I was. I started to simply float through all the perspectives and lives of the characters. I was able to place myself into all 6 of their shoes. I would've loved a bit more depth from some of the side characters but the story of Harriet and Wyn will stick. I related to too much of whjat Harriet went through and the things she's said and I couldn't have been happier when she finally found what makes her happy.
