i can't believe how much this book managed to move me in under 150 pages. the relationship between rukher ester and roc zahra was so fascinating to read about, especially because of how much ester attached her whole being to zahra, all while zahra had almost no connection to ester at all. the worldbuilding was wholly immersive and i was glued to the page from the second i opened the book. every word and plot point was chosen deliberately, and i was completely satisfied by the ending.
