"Doctor Who meets Sherlock" is definitely an accurate way to describe the general feel of this book and its titular character. Somehow, it brought me so much nostalgia and comfort while I was reading it, and the plot did tug at my heartstrings a wee bit in places. Overall, I had fun sitting back and going along for the ride.
