This book means so much to me. I really feel like I've read one of the best books I'll ever read. Big words, right? An all time favorite book. It spoke to the little girl in me who was an only child and that had a mom who died when she was very young. That found a sanctuary in books. A safe place to wish and not feel so alone.
V.E. Schwab blurbed this book and said, "A love letter to reading and the power that childhood stories have over us long after we've grown up." One of the truest statements about it.
I felt so much of this book in my heart. It was really something special. The author I felt did a great job of making me feel the magic of Clock Island. It was heartwarming and funny while having a dose of sadness. Quirky but realistic.
