very hot take, but this is better than book one! i enjoyed the mystery more (even though i was able to guess one little element of it), and it actually felt believable this time around. and pip is much more likeable in this book (in my personal opinion haha). i almost wrote off the entire series after book one but i’m so glad i didn’t and if i’m not disappointed by the last book in the trilogy, i’d be open to reading more holly jackson ngl.
