I have been working my way through the Greek retelling books that have popped off recently, and I really enjoyed this one. This was better than Circe for me. Ariadne and Phaedra are different from each other, but so much the same. I loved their sisterhood and their separate journeys of discovering and losing themselves. It is, of course, so much of the same story of women paying the price for the actions of men, but I loved that we got a story with their voices. I didn't know much of the stories around them, and the end really broke me.
