The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

5.0

Five years ago I adored this series without reserve, but now I noticed that although the dialogue and fighting scenes are excellently written, the descriptions leave something to be desired. I also find that the character development focuses on single traits too strongly, creating a slight feeling of repetition one dimensionality. But despite acknowledging these things, they didn’t really bother me. I was just so happy to completely loose myself in this world again - a world that doesn’t compare to any other I’ve come across in terms of originality. And the plot twists will have anyone gasping for breath. I can only recall vague details of what happens further in the series, which means I’m as eager to continue as the first time around.
