Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter
2.0
Meh.
Actually, worse than that - I was annoyed while reading this book. None of the characters struck me as particularly real, except for Pasquale.
But was irritated me from the beginning...the name. Dee Moray. DEE MORAY? Golly, what does that sound like ... oh, I know: Di Amore. As in, Italian for "of love". How bad and cheesy can you get? And she was such a sap.
And Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton? Just made the whole thing that much sillier. As if that were possible.
