Grown Women delves into the intricate dynamics of mother-daughter relationships. By exploring each woman’s perspective throughout the narrative, I gained a deeper understanding of their unique qualities, flaws, and strengths. The novel resonated with me on a personal level, as I found myself identifying with at least one of the characters. It also prompted me to reflect on my own mother and daughter, prompting me to consider what I should forgive or be forgiven for in my life. Sarai Johnson’s debut novel is a remarkable achievement, and I eagerly anticipate your sophomore book.
