hmm okay, I was intrigued in the first novel as it introduced the world and the conflict within it, setting up the rest of the series - which usually means the plot and characterization amp up in the second and third books!! sadly, that was not the case with this one ðŸ˜
I was extremely bored reading solely from romy’s POV and just spending chapters upon chapters of wandering through the forest to escape the kingdom and the wrath they left behind. I just wanted something to happen that wasn’t a predictable minor kidnapping and romy learning how to use her magic…
xander wasn’t much better as his communication skills desperately need to be worked on 😑 how can you expect someone to read your mind and figure out that you still love that person when your mouth opens and you say the opposite? like come on 🙄🙄
I just wanted so much more from this, and it’s got me concerned that the ending is going to be so rushed in the next book since we spent the whole time walking in this one 🥴🥴 and more from the side characters please!
