The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny
5.0
I remain amazed at the variety Penny produces. This one was especially fascinating as she wove a myth/tale into the mystery. As often the case, there was also a lot about poetry and art.
New people come and go in Three Pines, but one keeps getting to know the regulars better: Clara, Peter, Myrna, Olivier, Gabri, and Ruth.
The twists and turns are not as subtle as in some of her others, but interesting nonetheless.
