The Trouble with Christmas by Loren Sorensen, Loren Sorensen

✨ARC Review✨

I had a delightful time reading this Christmas-centric, tension-filled holiday novella.

Caleb has had a crush on Rayanne for over a decade, but she’s never been interested. He’s three years younger and her bestie’s little brother. He’s spent the last few years engaging in low stakes sexcapades with women he makes no commitments to and rising to the top as an elite pastry chef.

Cut to this year: Rayanne needs help with making her Christmas dreams come true and she has no one to ask but Caleb. He obviously jumps at the chance to help her obtain her enormous Christmas tree *and* carry it up three flights of stairs. He also takes some sage advice from the tree farm employee and makes his move on Rayanne.

Now she’s finally seeing him as more than a kid brother-type, but she’s not happy about it. She wants to keep him in kid territory, but how can she when she sees the man he’s become? There’s flirting and teasing and kissing and thoughtful gift-giving.
