The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa

5.0

I LOVED this book. It takes a lot of talent to convey humor on the page, and Sosa manages to do it beautifully. I kept laughing throughout the entire story, and I even interrupted my husband regularly to share fantastic one-liners with him.

After stopping a complete stranger’s wedding once she caught the bride declaring her love for someone who was NOT the groom, Solange finds herself face to face with the supposed groom awhile later being propositioned to be his fake girlfriend. Apparently getting caught in a lie at work means these two need to play it out to save his job – but Solange has her own fake dating needs, as well.

Both determined not to catch feelings, Solange and Dean (the once-groom) get to know each other through incredibly strange circumstances. Dean’s coworker is a jerk and has no problem trying to both upstage him and nearly get him fired – and where they end up because of this coworker is something you’ll just have to read to find out.

But no matter how many situations they find themselves in, their romance is a sham, right? Even if they work well together, enjoy spending time together, and perhaps have even begun to find comfort in one another… it can’t be real. Not with Solange likely moving away and Dean being absolutely sure that love is nothing but a weakness meant to destroy every plan imaginable. But could they work through that?

From stopped wedding to fake dating, from grumpy to happy, from discomfort to peaceful… this book is one you won’t want to put down – I promise you.
