well, i didn't expect much from this KU hockey romance but i was pleasantly surprised. It hit the right notes for me of pining but not too slow burn, enough plot to stay interesting and enough spice to stay interesting, and really good characters who made sense and were distinct individuals. loved all the feel-good moments with people being accepting. except one person. which is realistic. i really could read all day about two muscley 20somethings banging. it. out. but still being bros? even the parts with holly felt well-done and rang true. within the wish-fulfillment context of a romance novel of course.
