Minor Detail by Adania Shibli

4.0

Split between two interwoven stories — one of an Israeli soldier just following the Nakba, and the other of a modern Palestinian woman who has found out about an atrocity she feels innately connected to, Shibli’s Minor Detail is filled with ominous and haunting prose. She delicately yet plainly resists the oppression of her people through her writing, weaving a story that affected me deeply as someone trying to know and learn as much as I can.
