The Horrible History Of Britain And Ireland by Terry Deary

medium-paced

2.25

This was my 26th book finished in 2025.

I found this book particularly dull. It consisted mostly of slightly boring timelines and a couple pages in-between of things, not even nessecarily connected to the time period. For example, half of the "Stuart" stuff took place in the Tudor period, etc.

For such a short book, it did repeat itself a few times. Like, I'm sure it spoke about the Irish potato famine on three separate occasions. Is this seriously all the author has to say about Ireland?

Honestly I just found most of the history focus uninteresting. I thought the cartoons were also unusually boring and unfunny in this one.
