Jones tells the tale of his life in the Queer rights movement over decades with heart and humor. It's a love story of the community he found and the ways he and others worked for positive change in large and small ways.

Especially now when the world is so bleak and we have Trump rolling back progress and setting the stage for such loss and destruction, this is a book for all to read. I imagine as Jones wrote it he was never imagining how swiftly backwards human rights would be moving in the US. But it is a great gift to us to read it now.
