The Falling in Love Montage by Ciara Smyth

5.0

This novel is perfection all around. I laughed so much at the witty one liners. I cried at the poignant moments. I loved the insertion of pop culture, and the analysis of actual romantic comedy films that accompanied the plot. There were many moments where the author successfully broke the 4th wall. The supporting characters were strategically placed and well rounded, and Saoirse and Ruby were delightful as main characters. The exploration of romance and friendship for these teenagers moving from high school to college was spot on. This is everything I could hope for in a YA lesbian romance.
