Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline
5.0
Very tender and sweet. This book was just what I needed after reading Adam Johnson's "The Orphan Master's Son", which was probably the best book I've ever read, but gruesome. I loved going back and forth between 2011 and the 1930's. It really set a nice pace for the books, and I found myself looking forward to getting back to Viv/Niamh's story and moving ahead to Molly's story. I loved the connections between the Irish culture and the Native American one. There were a few times I audibly gasped while reading this story, for happy reasons and sad ones.
