I absolutely loved Grief is the Thing with Feathers so immediately bought this. The book is in three parts. The first part was so excellent I thought the book would end up being up there in my favourite books, a five star read. Then the second section felt so different...the magic seemed to melt. The last section just lost my love. The magic elements were there but just not in the same way. So I am sad to downgrade it. But section one was utterly wonderful and will stay with me for a long time.
