*ARC Review* Release date: November 5, 2024
Lost and Lassoed solidified my need to move to Rebel Blue Ranch. This is the 3rd book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series by Lyla Sage, a collection of standalone novels featuring different cowboy love stories.
What to expect:
π Cowboy romance
π 1st person, dual POV
π Small town romance
π Hate to love
π Single dad
π Best friend's brother
π Forced proximity
Lost and Lassoed is a fast-paced, charming story of a feisty, artsy redhead and a grumpy, single-dad cowboy. I loved Teddy and Gus in the previous two books, so I was excited to get their storyβand Lyla delivered a memorable book. If you love Heartless by Elsie Silver, you will enjoy this story since they have similar aspects.
Lyla has a skill for developing characters in a realistic and authentic way, especially when it comes to her dialogue. I also love that each couple throughout the three books have felt unique and continue to make appearances throughout.
The reason I gave this a 4 star instead of 5 is because I wish there would have been more moments to build the "love" between these characters. Since these characters are supposed to hate each other, I would expect it to take even longer for them to warm up to one another.
A sincere thank you to Random House Publishing Group and The Dial Press for gifting me an eARC through NetGalley.
