Storyworthy: Engage, Teach, Persuade, and Change Your Life Through the Power of Storytelling by Matthew Dicks
4.0
A masterpiece of a book. While completely logical, this book baffles my mind. I mean, obviously a Moth GrandSLAM winner (it means he is really good at telling stories) is going to be great at writing a book about telling stories, and weaving great stories into it, but I really did not expect just how good he would be.
This book is not just Matt (and yes I call him Matt, we are on a first name, nickname basis) telling interesting stories in a captivating manner. This book is also him analyzing his stories, and the way he is telling them. He talks about why you should do certain things, like emphasizing your 5-second-moment and make the start equal and opposite, but he also talks about why you should not do other things, like talk about vacation without the vacation being the unimportant part, and much much more.
If you are anything like me and you feel like you want to get better at telling engaging and fun stories, and you like to entertain, I highly recommend this book as a start to get better at understanding how to tell compelling stories. An absolute masterpiece of a book.
