Georgie, All Along by Kate Clayborn

4.5 stars (rounded up to 5 stars)

Georgie Mulcahy is a young woman who has worked as a personal assistant in Hollywood for the last several years. She’s used to organizing other people’s lives and has found little to no time to think about her own life. When her latest employer decides to leave the business, Georgie is suddenly without a home and a job.

She moved back home to her small town to visit her parents and her best friend who has recently moved back to town. She’s nervous about making this move – she had the reputation of being unmotivated when she left the town a decade ago. Despite recent professional success, Georgie had decided to take this time to think about what her next steps in life should be.

Georgie is expecting her parent’s home to be empty as they are out of town. But her father also promised that Levi Fanning could stay there for a couple of weeks as his own home is being repaired. She remembers Levi as being the Fanning boy who always was in trouble. What starts out as two strangers having nothing in common slowly develops into something much more.

I appreciated the level of character development in this book. Georgie and Levi each have interesting backstories which were slowly revealed as the story progressed. I enjoyed watching these characters grow and complement each other.

Georgie, All Along is a deeply emotional story of facing life’s challenges and finding your own path. I recommend this book to those that appreciate Women’s Fiction and stories of personal growth.

I received a ARC of this book from the publisher, but the thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own.
