I enjoyed this book overall, just not as much as his other works. I think the story was extremely creative and interesting, but some of the political things in
purgatory
were a little bit confusing for me.

When a god no longer cares for revenge, their time is indeed done.

... their Jesuses, Buddhas, Muhammads, they are aloof, distant. Why, they do not even show themselves. How can you worship a god you cannot see?

Heaven is full of sheep. Hell is full of those who actually shaped the world. Men who carved out their own paths, the courageous, the bold, they are the ones who end up dammed.

There will never be an end to suffering. You do what you can, only what you can. Peace comes from knowing you helped those that you could.
