'Up here, the only thing alive was the mountain. It was staring at me. Right into my soul. It wouldn’t take its eyes off me.'

This book has some of the scariest scenes and freakiest imagery I think I've ever read. It felt so fresh and like nothing I've read before. Also, climbing mountains of snow and ice sounds miserable. Even when things don't get batshit crazy like they do in here.😄😱🗻

'Every human body reaches a point when it just gives you the finger. Enough is enough, it says. Sleep comes and takes over your body like a mountain takes over your mind.'
