Welcome to the most chaotic Christmas party ever, where the presents include secrets, lust, discoveries, and just a dash of near-death experiences. Tory and Darcy are past their schoolyard drama era and fully in their “we have actual life-and-death problems”phase. The Celestial Heirs step up (no more kiddie pranks), Darius obsession with Tory is so obvious it’s borderline comical at times. Tory’s moment at the Christmas table? Iconic. And let’s not even talk about those last two chapters, iykyk.
The audiobook is a bit of a mess with obvious re-recorded lines that jar the moment, but patience is for people who don’t need to know what happens right now.
