The story itself was pretty basic. Boss and employee have tension through the entire book, then fall in love. I do like the concept of Jo and Emma's sister becoming friends outside of her relationship with Emma. None of it feels overwhelmingly realistic or anything, but fiction doesn't need to. As per usual in romance books like this, if either of them would just speak to each other for two seconds, half of the problems that happen would not arise. However, I love when books show both perspectives like this one does. It was interesting because we as the readers got to see how each of them misconstrued situations and twisted them into different ideas in their heads. That part was incredibly realistic, and part of the reason I rated this so highly. The other part is just because I love reading about women falling in love, it makes my heart happy always.
