I could write a book ABOUT this book.

From the beautiful imagery—sensory details so rich I swear I was hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, and feeling everything.

To the emotions—brought to life by metaphor and simile, but given dimension by the stunning characters. These three friends are so surreal you feel as if you’ve known them—grown up with them on Willow Heath.

Romance is beautifully threaded with the horror of the story, but it’s the way the story comes full circle for me—from that first paragraph to the last two—that made it a phenomenal read.

Truly atmospheric and horrific and romantic. An absolute must read for those who wish to immerse themselves in a strangely fascinating place with three friends, some terrifying (yet riveting) creatures, and a pretty stubborn (and hilarious) goat.

As for the ending—no spoilers, but I will be sending Andrew my therapy invoices for at least the next couple months.
