ok so this is definitely a book of its time. some parts definitely don’t pass in today’s society but that being said, the writing and storytelling was heart wrenchingly beautiful.

i also really wish i knew some turkish so i could read the original text because things definitely get lost in translation unfortunately. i’m confident that the story is even more compelling in its original text.
