What else can I say that hasn’t been said? A captivating first glance at Roshar with deep world and character building woven into the plot so effortlessly. It truly impressive how he shares details, revealing through actions and relevant plot points rather than simply telling the reader information. It’s not without a few slow sections but they still tell you relevant information that lends well to the story. The issues I had with Mistborn he vastly improved upon for The Stormlight Archive, both in how he told the story and how witty the dialogue can be. Just an enjoyable read all around and worth the length.
This was a reread for me, but it took me over a year last time (still enjoyed it) so I made sure I read it quickly this time around.
