I have nothing but praise for East of Eden and it´s no longer a mystery why this is often considered one Steinbeck´s most accomplished works. It has exceptional writing, interesting subjects, surprising plot and of course a wide cast of fascinating, real, peculiar and a little bit comical characters. Even though I got so much out of this story, I know there are plenty of details and connections I didn´t pick up on. East of Eden demands to be properly analyzed and I hope that in the future I´ll be able to devote all the time this book deserves to reread it and think about it even more.
