"The Toll" by Neal Shusterman was a disappointing conclusion to an otherwise fantastic series. For most of the book, I found myself wondering how everything would come together, only for the last 10% to cram in all the action. The ending felt like a total cop-out, leaving me frustrated and wishing for a different resolution. After such a strong buildup in the earlier books, this finale left me wanting so much more.
