This was a very mediocre read, which was a disappointment.

Things I liked:
-hints at magic
-the friendship between Fleetwood and Alice

Things I didn't like:
-the ending (some aspects were to easily explained/tied up and others were ignored and vaguely open ended)
-the lack of focus on the witch trials
-the feeling of current day views and ideas in the setting that was not current day
