Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder

4.0

“She held two master's degrees, whereas he held none. (She also held a baby.)”

An entertaining yet traumatizing book.

With its fascinating take on motherhood, Nightbitch brilliantly captured the struggles of mothers and raising a child while society expects a woman to be well-put together at all times. Bizzare as it may, the unnamed character, eventually called Nightbitch as the story progresses, represents women who only want to be mothers but, at the same time, to have careers outside their homes—sans the unhinge-ness, of course.
