Tunnels of Blood by Darren Shan

3.0

Darren and Mr Crespley are visited by a Vampire General and they go on a road trip which leaves Darren clueless as to what is going on. Ezra goes along for company. I love this series, but this book was just lackluster. I prefer the setting at Cirque Du Freak to the traveling. It seems Mr Crespley has secrets and Darren still has the behavior of an immature teenage boy. SO when he sets out to find out the secrets problems pile up. Towards the end of the book, it got good with the typical action of the previous novels. I HIGHLY recommend this series, but it is not the typical twilight vampire books but very different and unique and stands on its own quite well.
